I was given the assignment by my Multimedia editor to arrange a photograph of people riding horse's wearing Riding Hats for a story. I contacted Shanter Riding Centre in Maidens, South Aryrshire, where I myself learnt to ride and arranged to meet a couple of the staff down on the beach.
Despite the fact that the tide was in, the sun was very harsh and with much cantering up and down the beach I managed to get this picture using a 24mm lens from the water's edge.
Unfortunately the story did not make the paper, but the Multimedia Editor has been chosen my image for the Picture Of The Day.
