Long term plans to restore Ayr Gaiety Theatre will take a step forward thanks to a significant funding boost annouced by Social Justice Secretary Alex Neil on a visit to the Gaiety today.
The £500,000 loan from the Social Growth Fund will be used to repair the historic theatre's stall seating and to invest in new lighting and sound technology.
