A group of Ayrshire new mums have been presented with tiny golden baby boots to highlight how they collectively kicked flu into touch by getting the flu vaccination when they were pregnant.

The mums and their babies, who were protected by the vaccination, proudly displayed the golden boots as they backed the campaign to encourage other pregnant women to follow suit.

The mums, who meet up at the Yogabellies Ayrshire, join many others across the country who are being pictured with golden boots to highlight how the vaccine can protect against flu. Over two million eligible people in Scotland will be offered the vaccine this winter as part of the national flu immunisation programme.
