On a recent trip to North Uist to photograph otters, Ii was fortunate enough to meet a Red deer hind and her fawn on the moor above Loch Eport where I was positioned trying to get my otter pictures. I saw the hind out of the corner of my eye and had a good two minutes before the wind shifted and she caught my scent and moved on with her fawn. I was using a Nikon D3 with a Nikkor 600mm lens and 1.4 teleconverter. Picture Christian Cooksey. Evening Times Group Multimedia Editor/Photographer
